Each player in this scenario uses their own game set.

One-on-one competitive approach

When teams are made up of individuals they can play competitively either in-person or virtually. The competitors track through the project reporting periods together.

Between each period the players have the opportunit to share and transfer risks. They also report on the status of their pawn position, quantity of project chips, and number of team members left in the game.

This approach helps players experience the influence of game theory (which has a significant effect on real projects). Game theory states that successful strategies depend upon the choices of others.
