Instructor team status matrix for Project Risk

The idea of the Instructor team status matrix is to help determine who wins... the tortious or the hare?

 

The traditional project management philosophy is that we want to be proactive in managing our risks and this will help eliminate problems later on, but will that prove out?  This game is a bit of an experiment from which you can see this philosophy at work, as well as the influence of outside factors (such as the luck of the roll). 

 

Make sure your teams fill out the details on the Status Pads so that the class can analyze what strategies were linked with dramatic competitive changes in the game. You should be able to ask teams, "What happened in Period 5 when you lost your lead?" and their status pads should allow them to give a clear answer.

 

The teams keep their team details on the status pad while you, the instructor, keeps a competitive comparison matrix of just their step status for each period.
