Workshop Overview

When is it offered?

Timeframe: 16 hours, usually as 2 consecutive days. Other formats are available.

PDUs or PMI credit for educational contact hours : This course covers all of the PMI process groups and is eligible for 16 hours of PDUs or contact hours.

Group size:

Average group size: 20 workshop participants. This is a good size for the interactive workshop exercises. This size group is large enough to make the workshop cost efficient to do in-house.

Smallest group recommended: 8. Groups smaller than eight participants lose benefits of shared experiences. Small groups may want to open the project management workshop to other participants to help cover the cost, gain from group diversity, and share best practices.

Largest group recommended: 30. There are full group and small group activities that can become complicated by larger group sizes. Also individual workshop participants may not receive enough instructor assistance.

Fun Reviews

Interactive clickers are used in the workshop

Each student gets a clicker to use during the workshop. Q&As are used for fun topic reviews, opinion surveys, and topical quizes. The answers are returned in bar charts, so that students can see the answers that the group selected.

Successful Projects also rents the 32-clicker system with a receiver computer, questions and answers preloaded to other project management instructors. See info.

"You did a fantastic job showing us just how much PM affects all our lives regardless of our careers. If someone tells me that they don’t have a need for this, I’ll tell them that they are crazy!"
